Patients sharing with Dr. Hoppens how happy and excited they are with their orthodontic treatment results are rewarding experiences for Dr. Hoppens that never grow old!
Education and Experience
Dr. Hoppens became interested in pursuing a career as an orthodontist during his own orthodontic treatment as he observed how science, technology, and artistry combined to create a healthy, happy smile in addition to the special relationships his orthodontists created with his patients and their families during their orthodontic treatment and orthodontic retention.
Dr. Hoppens has been practicing orthodontics since 1985. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which was founded in 1929 as the first specialty board in dentistry. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) and in affiliation with the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO).
Dr. Hoppens received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree graduating Magna Cum Laude and with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Hoppens continued his education at the University of Iowa in the Orthodontic Residency program, where he earned his Master of Science (MS) degree and Certificate in Orthodontics.
